Tim is a founding partner of Gower, Wooten, Darneille. Tim has 20 years of practice experience and has wide experience with federal and state courts throughout the country in insurance coverage, insurance defense, complex litigation, construction and design, product liability, breach of contract, federal tax controversy and disputes before the IRS and U.S. Tax Court, settlements and probate, and multi-jurisdictional litigation. Tim is an experienced trial lawyer and has tried cases in state and federal courts throughout the country, as well as complex arbitrations. Tim also is an experienced appellate lawyer and has successfully represented clients in federal and state appellate courts throughout the United States. Tim has represented Fortune 500 companies, municipalities, multinational corporations, insurers and reinsurers.
Tim received his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2000, where he graduated cum laude and in the top 10% of his class. Tim is licensed in Georgia and South Carolina and is an instructor at Emory University where he teaches torts and contracts in the university’s graduate paralegal program. He received his B.A. in history from Erskine College, where he was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Honor Society. Before law school, Tim was a performing musician and is a fan of Rickenbacker guitars, Vox amplifiers, and vintage recording equipment. He is an Atlanta United season ticket holder and supporter of the North Carolina State Wolfpack and Tottenham Hotspur.
