Upon completing his federal clerkship, John returned to private practice where he represented real estate developers and contractors in East Alabama and represented some of Alabama’s premier insurance and workers’ compensation carriers. His cross training in several areas of the law allows him to provide creative and unique perspectives to his clients.

John is a well-regarded civil litigator, both at the trial level and the appellate level.  John holds the “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell’s Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, and he was recently selected as one of the Top-Rated Lawyers in Insurance Law.  John also serves on the Alabama State Bar Character & Fitness Committee, helping ensure the integrity of the legal profession.

John and his wife Mallory have two children. In his free time, John enjoys playing tennis, coaching his kids’ teams, and watching Auburn sports.
